Pentair is Removing the Non-Transferrable Warranty Clause
Pentair updates warranty policy. What does it mean for you?
Non-Transferrable Warranty clause no longer valid
If your paperwork or warranty card has this clause listed, don’t worry, that clause is no longer valid. In 2023, as new products become available that clause will be removed from all warranty cards. It is set to be removed from the Pentair website in the next few weeks.
Pentair is making this change to help meet consumer expectations, and build dealer and brand loyalty. Warranty will now carry over from homeowner to homeowner with proof of purchase.
Selling a home with a pool?
Save your receipts. If you are selling your home and have Pentair equipment that is still under warranty, save your receipts. Once the sale is completed leave the new buyer the documents when moving out. You could also email it to you realtor in most cases. You can use this warranty as a selling feature. As a pool repair company owner, I can tell you many new pool owners would really love this peace of mind.
Buying a home with a pool?
When deciding to make an offer on a home with a pool, ask about the purchase date of the pool equipment. Especially if the equipment is Pentair brand. You would much rather have your equipment warrantied by a Pentair representative that whatever pool company the home warranty company sends. Plus the home warranty company would also have a deductible you would have to pay.
Conclusion
With Pentair removing the Non-Transferrable Warranty clause, it makes Pentair to pretty easy choice when buying pool equipment. Pentair is leading the way in the pool industry
